The Makeshift weapons is where our opinion of 'best' starts leaning towards the ridiculous territory. After all, Rank II is where the weapons start having special death animations that are well, not pretty-but in a good way. Take the Makeshift AK-47, for example, which has a literal screwdriver as its bayonet. You can only imagine the gruesome results.Aside from that lovely perk, the higher damage, better handling, and increased magazine make it a great step up from the Rusty AR-C.

Far Cry 5 Best Guns
IMFDB, like wikipedia, is publicly edited, so users have submitted most of, if not all that info. We know there are more weapons, and not all the weapons were being seen in the shop menu, because they were fairly early in the game and we know you gain access to additional firearms as you progress.Hopefully I am remembering correctly when I recall hearing FC5 was to have the largest arsenal in the series so far, but maybe I'm confusing that claim with the map size. I certainly hope we have more ARs than have been shown so far, because as yet the list is a bit on the 'meh' side. All I know of for sure is the AR- & AK, but I hope there are 6+ ARs. They added no new ones to FC4 so I hope they add at least a few new ones to FC5. I've been somewhat disappointed in the melee 'variety' though, because they all actually function in exactly the same way.
So the 'variety' within the melee weapons is really just different models for the same melee weapon, they all function the same as a bat. The only difference in functionality I've seen is that the shovel can be thrown like a spear. I was hoping a variety in melee weapons would open up to a much larger variety of takedown animations but they'll all share the same ones instead.: /.
